ISU topic summary petroleum CHEMISTRY ISU: REFINEMENT OF rough OIL My ISU will focus on Petroleum, a multifactorial mixture of hydrocarbons that occurs in the Earth in liquid, gaseous, or material approach patterns. The term is usually restricted to the liquid form, commonly called unsanded oil, but as a technical term it in any case includes natural gas and the viscous or solid form known as bitumen.
